At Lifespan, one of our main priorities is ensuring the protection of our environment; among some of the ways we do this is through responsible technology reuse and recycling and our commitment to encouraging other companies to do the same. With the catastrophic destruction of the Amazon rainforest this past year, it is now more important than ever that we, as a global society, make a concentrated effort to safeguard our environment and its many critical resources.
In lieu of pro-global warming policies being mandated throughout North America, companies are beginning to take greater action to incorporate more sustainable business practices, with many tech companies switching their focus to renewable resources. Taking into account that half of the world’s forests are currently at risk, it is imperative that corporations begin executing plans to offset the damage that has already been done.
In the near future, we can expect to see new developments in tree growth, printers with automatic paper recycling and paper formulations that will incorporate renewable resources. As for today, we can all do our part in reducing our energy consumption and the emission of harmful substances in an attempt to improve the quality of our lives and our environment. Such long term efforts, if executed on a global scale, should help pave the way towards a cleaner planet – because after all, a small change in lifestyle is all it takes to make a big difference.
